Medical Records and Documentation Guide
Organising your medical documentation is essential for a smooth treatment experience in Turkey. Proper records help your surgeon plan the best treatment and avoid unnecessary repeat tests.
Documents to Prepare
- Recent blood test results (within 3 months)
- X-rays, CT scans, MRI images in digital format (DICOM or JPEG)
- Pathology or biopsy reports if applicable
- List of current medications with dosages
- Previous surgical reports
- Allergy information
- GP referral letter or medical summary
How to Share Records
Most clinics accept records via secure email or WhatsApp. Digital imaging files should be in DICOM format for best quality. Physical records can be brought with you and returned after your treatment.
After Treatment Documentation
Your Turkish medical team will provide a comprehensive discharge summary, operative report, medication prescriptions, aftercare instructions, and imaging records in both Turkish and English for your GP at home.
